Llum BCN

In February, Barcelona hosts Llum BCN. It’s a three-day light arts festival with over 30 installations and shows. By day, you can do a tapas crawl in the city, and by night you can enjoy as many light shows as you want. The festival usually takes place from 5 to 7 February.

Saint Valentine’s Day

Later in the month, you can celebrate Saint Valentine’s Day in Barcelona. The city is very romantic because of its beautiful architecture, especially the Sagrada Família. So you can spend a couple of days sightseeing and enjoying the local food. Barcelona has plenty of restaurants to choose from!

Tenerife

Spain’s most famous carnival takes up the whole month of February, and it takes place in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. This place is already famous for good weather all year round, but being in the middle of a carnival makes the trip even more worth it!

Better to go toward the end of the month because the main street events take place between 19 and 28 February.
